What we offer
Walk-in day shelter and community centre
We operate a walk-in day shelter on weekdays. You can come here to use the WiFi, charge your phone, join us for breakfast or lunch (Monday-Friday at 13:00), wash and dry your clothes, or find clothing, shoes, and other items in our free shop.
We also offer a variety of activities and services. See here for more information.
Physical and mental health support
If you have questions concerning your physical or mental health, you can speak to our team. If necessary, we will refer you to Kruispost medical centre or to Doctors of the World (Dokters van de Wereld).
Dokters van de Wereld also offer free, confidential medical consultations in their zorgbus which is parked outside the Wereldhuis every Monday from 11:00-13:00.
In addition, we offer a free eye care consultation every 1-2 months in collaboration with Stichting Zienderogen. See here for more information.
Social and legal advice and counseling
We are always available to answer questions during our opening hours. You can always stop by our helpdesk during our opening hours for personalised support with social or legal issues. No appointment is needed.
We work with a team of 15 lawyers who provide legal advice and support to our visitors. These legal consultations are by appointment only. Please contact a member of staff to schedule an appointment.
Our counsellors provide social and legal support for clients who need longterm guidance. Please contact us via phone or email if you would like to refer someone to us for counseling.
For questions related to working as an undocumented person in the Netherlands, we also offer monthly counseling sessions in collaboration with Fairwork on the last Tuesday of each month from 11:00-14:00.
What we do not offer
While we understand that this is a fundamental and urgent need, we are not equipped to provide night shelter. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for arranging housing or temporary shelter.
